The gourmet hot breakfast is served between 8 am to 10 am in the formal opulent white, gold and blue Italian dining room, with a panorama view of the Strait of Georgia.
To make each day extra special, cruise ships, sail boats, freighters, fishing boats, cruisers, kayakers, wind surfers and tug boats with booms will drift past. Even though you are in Nanaimos most prestigious, quiet neighborhood, deers saunter, eagles fly and an occasional pod of whales will swim by.
The gardens are filled with delights of West Coast flowers, trees, blooming bushes, statues, fountains and songbirds.

Steps away the neighbors fish from the cliffs, with the occasional sea lion or seal snapping at their catch, while the eagles wait for leftovers. In the other direction is Rocky Point beach where little crabs scamper and King Neptune coughs up surprises such as shells and driftwood. In another direction is an accessible park trail. Neck Point Park beaches/trails (scuba divers love this one) and sandy Piper Lagoon Beach are 5 minutes away.
Restaurants, malls, cinemas, boutiques, big box stores and galleries are 6 minutes away. 10 minutes away is Nanaimo Golf Club.
Many major attractions are a short drive away. Most important is that you are only 15 minutes from the Departure Bay Ferry and 25 minutes from the Duke Point Ferry. Go to MapQuest to view our location.
There are two ferries servicing Nanaimo from the mainland of British Columbia: Horseshoe Bay - Departure Bay and Tsawwassen - Duke Point. Ferry information including routes, schedules, and fares can be found on the BC Ferries Web Page.
